BECORP
Logo Redesign
Bateman Equipment Corporation (BEC) is a manufacturer of bulk material handling and automated processing equipment. They provide industrial, feed and grain, chemical, and food process industries with bulk material handling and processing equipment across Canada. The goal of this redesign was to modernise the logo while maintaining a professional and industrial appearance, showcasing their Canadian identity.
Process
Brand Research
I began my process by conducting thorough research on the company. This included learning about their business, their brand, and the history of their logo. By understanding the key aspects of BEC's brand equity, such as the use of the letter "B" and the inclusion of a Canadian leaf, I was able to develop a design concept that accurately reflects the company's values and identity.
Ideation
After conducting my research, I began sketching out potential logo designs that incorporated the key elements of BEC's brand equity. I played around with different fonts, sizes, and arrangements of the letter B and the Canadian leaf. I created several design concepts, some modern and some industrial, while still paying homage to BEC's Canadian heritage.
